The big cement mixer came today! The workers divided their day between cutting the driveway (presumably for drain pipes) and pouring the footings/foundations.

There was more cutting and digging. Today involved drain pipes, vents, cleanouts, and getting the footings ready for inspection and approval by the structural engineers.

The big archway rose went over in the wind. So we spent the afternoon pruning it back and trying to get the situation under control.

The regular crew continued work today on the foundation and something to do with the original pad. Plumbing access perhaps? I’m not sure exactly what of the pad will remain and whether the new foundation will leave a crawlspace. However, the crew was joined today by a new member!
