Still waiting on the cabinets, but that doesn’t mean nothing’s going on. There’s a lot going on behind the scenes. For now, I’ll just post pictures of the exterior light fixtures, the staircase railing, and some pictures of the happy springtime front garden (to compare, for example, to this view from February).
It’s been a while since I’ve posted on the ADU. Not a lot of visible changes are happening, but there’s a lot going on behind the scenes. The A/C unit installation has started, and some of the interior electrical tasks have been completed. We’re starting to tidy some of the garden areas and get things in order for our tenants!
In terms of schedule, we expect the cabinets to arrive in the next 30 days, after which the kitchen and bathroom fixtures will be installed. We’re looking at Certificate of Occupancy to be issued by LADBS in July, and an August move-in for the renters. The new tenants will miss the peak spring bloom of the garden, but they’ll still get to enjoy the butterflies.
More floor work has been completed, and the stairs have had the hardwood added.
The first coats of exterior paint have been added. It’s a glorious, saturated purple, which contrasts the roses and flowers. Depending on the angle and the lighting, the color goes from nearly black to a royal purple.
