The big archway rose went over in the wind. So we spent the afternoon pruning it back and trying to get the situation under control.

The regular crew continued work today on the foundation and something to do with the original pad. Plumbing access perhaps? I’m not sure exactly what of the pad will remain and whether the new foundation will leave a crawlspace. However, the crew was joined today by a new member!

Inspector came, and said the minor discrepancy in the plans was unimportant. The crew continued digging foundations.

Possible issue today with the plans. Inspector arrives tomorrow to let us know how we can proceed. Meanwhile, the new foundation’s being dug. Oh, and in unrelated news, a violent coup is breaking out in the nation’s capital.
